Warranty
TONI Copenhagen provides a 2-year product warranty and a 5-year functional warranty.
2-year product warranty
In accordance with the Sale of Goods Act and industry standards, TONI Copenhagen is responsible for defects in the product that occur within 2 years from the date of purchase. If the purchase date is not available, for example when TONI Copenhagen products are installed in new buildings, the 2-year period begins from the date the product is put into use by the end customer. This date corresponds to the recorded
final inspection, a copy of which must be provided when making a warranty claim. The warranty period for replaced goods or spare parts does not exceed the warranty period of the original product and therefore does not extend the warranty. Any costs involving third parties must be covered by the insurance policy held by the installation company or the end customer.
5-year functional warranty
TONI Copenhagen undertakes to supply spare parts free of charge to maintain functionality not related to normal wear and tear, for up to 5 years from the date of purchase. If the purchase date is not available, for example in new construction projects, the warranty is valid for 5 years from the date the product is put into use by the end customer. This date corresponds to the documented final inspection, a copy of
which must be provided when making a claim. Applies to both ceramic cartridge and thermostat cartridge.
Limitation of liability
TONI Copenhagen is not liable for faults resulting from normal wear and tear, and only on the condition that the product has been professionally installed according to TONI Copenhagen’s installation instructions and used in the intended and correct manner. The liability does not cover damage caused by frost or impurities in the water. The warranty does not cover aesthetic defects resulting from improper cleaning or normal use, such as minor scratches, which are considered normal wear. Some of TONI Copenhagen’s surface finishes are “living” surfaces and will naturally patinate, oxidise, and change in appearance over time. Such changes are not covered by the warranty.
Claims
Claims must be addressed to the point of sale where the product was purchased. A claim must be made within a reasonable time after the defect is discovered. A claim made within two months will always be considered timely. Service in connection with claims TONI Copenhagen must approve the claim and the related service work before any repair work begins. In the event of water damage – regardless of the cause – the affected party must immediately report the issue to their insurance company, which will conduct the necessary investigation and claims handling.
