Reference Project
In the Sussex countryside, Jay Osgerby has transformed a former agricultural building into a home that balances preservation with a clear architectural intent. As co-founder of Barber Osgerby, his work is widely recognised for its precision and material focus — qualities that are evident here. The project retains much of the original structure, with exposed timber framing and simple volumes defining a series of calm, functional spaces.
The bathrooms follow the same approach. They are pared back and carefully detailed, using natural materials and controlled light to create a sense of clarity rather than excess. SP fixtures in polished brass are integrated as part of this thinking. Their clean geometry and solid construction align with the overall language of the house, supporting both the visual coherence and the everyday use of the space.
Across the project, the emphasis is on longevity and consistency. Materials are allowed to age, and details are resolved with restraint. In this context, the bathrooms stand out as examples of how considered design can elevate functional spaces without relying on decoration.
