Reference Project
In a classic property in central Stockholm, Da Silva Interiors has worked to bring back the original qualities. The project is based on the history of the apartment and reintroduces elements that have been hidden for many years.
One of the most important decisions was to reopen the passage between the kitchen and the former dining room. The connection gives the apartment a natural movement and ties the spaces together. The dining room is now a master bedroom, where stucco, skirting boards and period details have been recreated with great care.
The kitchen acts as the focal point of the apartment. The materials are simple and kept in muted tones, bringing calm to everyday life. At the same time, the new floor plan supports the connection between the central spaces.
The bathroom is designed with a more distinctive character. Ekeberg marble and smoked wood panels are used here, a combination that adds depth and contrast. The rounded shapes and high ceilings add a quiet elegance to the space.
The result is an apartment where the layers of the past are preserved, but set in a contemporary framework that can carry on.
