Vermland Showroom

Entering Vermland’s newly opened showroom in Copenhagen, one steps into a space where contemporary design and woodworking craftsmanship unfold in quiet dialogue.

Founded more than a decade ago by furniture designers and cabinetmakers Joakim Tolf Vulpius and Anton Bak, Vermland brings together contemporary design thinking and a deep understanding of woodworking traditions. The studio develops spaces and furniture with a distinctly architectural sensibility, where materials, function and longevity are approached as part of a cohesive language.

Throughout the showroom, refined wood elements are set against the raw backdrop of this 1950’s industrial space. The fine oak cabinetry contrasts with exposed brick, concrete, and raw details, where material honesty is preserved throughout. Loft-scale windows allow light to stream into the space, softening the interior and adding warmth to the space.

Set within the kitchen, an SP faucet in polished brass introduces a quiet interplay of tone and reflection. As the surface gradually develops its patina over time, the surface will deepening in some areas while softening in others, leaving traces of gentle everyday rhythms.
