Yacht by Andreas Martin-Löf

Swedish architect Andreas Martin-Löf is known for his meticulous approach to materials, proportions and details. On this custom-designed yacht, his approach has been continued with the same precision as in his residential projects. The result is a series of interiors that are robust and calm at the same time - adapted to life at sea without sacrificing atmosphere or quality.

The choice of materials is clearly coordinated. Warm walnut with finely grained surfaces is used for cabinet elements and wall cladding, while deep red marble and polished, light stone surfaces set the tone. The furniture, many of which is Built-in the rooms, is upholstered in subdued shades that support the calm overall effect. Each room has been thoughtfully designed so that functionality and visual calm go hand in hand.

Throughout the yacht, there is a clear common thread in the design language and choice of materials. Natural stone plays a central role - from the wavy marble inlays in the floors to the heavy sinks in the bathrooms. Dark Burnished Brass fixtures add a robust contrast, while built-in storage solutions and concealed lighting ensure a clean look. Large windows and deck access draw the surroundings in and create a natural connection to life outside.

The more private areas are treated with the same precision as the common areas. In the sleeping areas, muted fabrics and warm woods create a relaxed atmosphere that invites you to stay longer. Even in the small spaces, the detailing is consistent, demonstrating Martin-Löf's focus on material character and a coherent expression across the entire project.
